Loader for 2-70 White

What is a good make of used loader to look for for a White 2-70? What other Oliver/White models use the exact same mountings where the loaders would be interchangeable? How about new loaders, what's good there? Thanks.

The White 2-70 replaced the Oliver 1555 and 1655. The 2-70 is basically idenical to the 1555 and 1655 except for the paint color and sheetmetal changes. Frame and hydraulics on your 2-70 are basically the same as the Oliver 1600,1550,1650,1555,and 1655. A good loader match for your 2-70 would be a White or a Oliver 1610 loader. It could be hard to find one that isn't complety beaten up or wore out. If you go the new route, Westerndorf makes a good loader. They make them fit large MFWD tractors and I have helped put a new one on a Oliver 77 Row Crop. I hope this helps you a little bit.

We have found a lite duty "New Idea" loader which we had put on a Oliver Super 77 tractor , and a heavy duty "New Idea" loader which we put on a Oliver 770 tractor.We made up adaptor blocks which bolt up to the tractor.The loader bolts up to the adaptor block.We were going to mount a John Deere model 45 loader on the super 77 untill we discovered that the arms going back to the rear axles would not fit between the cast ears that the fenders are bolted to. So if you find a loader which goes to the back axle , you might want to keep this in mind.The loader on the 770 mounts to the sides only.It does not go back to the back axle.We are very happy with both loaders.Another thing to keep in mind is that a loader with a lift of at least 10 feet or more is nice.You may not need a high lift as a rule.But when you need to lift 8 feet and the loader only goes 7 feet , your kind of in a spot.You have to drive up on blocks , get on higher ground , etc..We payed $200.00 for the one loader and $400.00 for the other one.A new loader for your 2-70 will run in the thousands.Hope you picked up a little info from my experience.Maybe some one else can add to this.
