Oliver OC12 info needed

I bought an OC12 today. By the serial number tag it is model number OC12-60D. The serial number is 1JX-664. I am wondering who built the engine in this model, how old it is. I am also looking for a stater for it. Any help greatly appreciated.

It is a 1955 model. Engine is a DJXC Hercules. do you have a starter core or are you missing the complete unit?

I have a starter but the shaft is broken so I would assume that I must replace the armeture to get that shaft replaced. That sounds like big bucks to me, so a complete starter might be a better way to go.. Or at least that is what I am thinking. Thannks for the info on the year and engine.
