For Wallaceq,Saw your Post on Hart-Parr site. Might be able to help you, I have a glass bowl and a metal bowl (special for mounted picker,] They are the same height and diameter. We mounted a #4 picker on a 70 and the bowl was never installed so it has set in the bin for along time.

Compared to a few people here, I"m an Oliver rookie, but I do have a 70 with a model 4 picker installed. What is the difference between a 70 verses a 70 with a picker on it as far as the sediment bowl?
BTW, I"m going to take the picker off and scrap it out so what needs to be changed with the sediment bowl back to being original? TIA.

It was to keep from breaking a glass bowl and maybe causing a fire

PLEASE, take a picture of the 70 and picker and post on here before you take it off and scrap it out, I've never seen such an animal. Post on here, someone might want it. Where are you located? Chris

Located in far northern Kansas.
Here"s the deal: I bought the tractor but I HAD to take the picker with it. Even got a wonderful model 4 operating manual with it. Will be overhauling the 70 and the 4 needs to go. Wouldn"t be so bad except it"s a real PITA to get the picker off. These LIFT OFF from above, don"t they?

I"ll try to post pictures within a week or so. (County fair is starting tomorrow. I"m one of the supervisors and time will be at a premium)

All #4's came with an angle iron frame that slid under the picker in front of the rear wheels and supported it. Remove the elevator and the PTO gear case from the rear of the tractor. Jack up the husking roll section and support it with a good blocking system. It ain't easy. The manual should give you some ideas how it works.
