Oliver 88 ?

All,

I recently purchased a Oliver Row Crop tractor. However, I have had some difficulty in determining whether or not it is the 88RC or super 88RC, as the side panels are missing. Any help in identifying (model, year, etc) would be greatly appreciated. Photos available upon request.
I can offer the following info off a aluminum plate on the left side of the dash...numbers reflect "-" as shown on plate.

Well then it should have green rims and oliver stamped in the fenders.

William i have misplaced my serial number book so I cant help you there.But fastest way I know how to tell the difference between a super and a regular is to look and see if it has mounting pads on the frame.Stand at side of tractor and look at engine compartment, glance down a little look left to right, if it is a super you will see two flat pads, one on your left and another on your right,both will have bolt holes in them used to attach loaders and culitavtors etc.You can go to the bottom of this page and click on oliver photos both a super66 and a plain 66 are pictured(no 88)to help you get a idea.

the axel size is a bigger diamter on a supper 88

The man is right. The super has implement mounting pads along the frame. The regulars don't.

Scott Karl is right too but I didnt point the axle size out because the man with the tractor does not have any sizes to compare.How can he tell a super 88 from a 88 by just telling him the axle on a super88 is larger?You could also tell him that the radiator is larger on a super and that the front section of the tin work over the radiator is larger on a super.You could also say that a super has more H.P.Wouldnt help him figure out what he had though.
