Based on the Floyd Co. reprints, I"m looking for a: "Whole assembly. Part# 1KS-7614-C. Schebler# 43-683. Needle Assembly, main adjusting".
Right after offloading my just purchased 88 Industrial, Ser# 920nnn, the needle valve decided to go flying into the weeds. Almost funny, BUT! Any idea where I can purchase a new valve & assembly? Appreciate any suggestions.

Are you sure that is the needle assembly you need? The reason I ask is that schebler number is for a carb. on a super series of tractor, but you say you have a early 88.

If the number is correct, you have a Schebler TSX-610 carb.

Call Van's at 1-800-428-4049. They should be able to help you. You will have to use the TSX-610 number, not the Oliver number.

Thanks "Oliver Fan", I really appreciate your information. I will give Van's a call. My info came from an Oliver 88 Parts book, issue date 9-3-57. Page 3-7 at the top right shows for the Industrial 88 with serial #'s 920001 - 920265 as using a Schebler TSX -181 - HC. I see your point though about a Schebler #. Book shows "NEEDLE Assembly, Main Adjusting as a Schebler # 43-683. Hope I am reading the book correctly. Thanks again.

Barry,

You are close, but not on the money. When you are looking up the Schebler TSX-181 carburetor numbers, look in the 5th vertical column (Oliver number 1KS-393). Go down to item number 14 in first column - then across to the 5th column and you will see the number 1. That means that carburetor used that part. Now look in the second column for the Schebler number. 43-624 is the Schebler number shown for the TSX-181 NEEDLE, Assembly, Main Adjusting.

You might want to look over your carburetor to make sure you have the TSX-181. Most carburetors have a small round brass tag listing the model number.
