Help! Value of JD M and MT

My father recently passed away leaving his "green and yellow toys". They are a 1951 MT and 1948 M that are fully restored and he exhibited them in tractor shows and many parades. They are beautiful, right down to the paint and rubber. Engines both run smooth.

I haven"t been able to find any values of either of these. I have checked this website and some others and only learned of the recent auction prices. Does anyone have any other ideas of where to look?

Also, have farm implements he restored as well such as a 2 and 3 bottom plows and "drag rake"? and sickle bar. Any ideas on these? Any help greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear of circumstances, but JD will bring a good price compared to the rest of us - something about green & yellow fever that my Olivers, AC, MM, and MH can't seem to match. May be a location thing, but I could not afford to collect JD. I've seen a nice restored M with implements go between $4000-5000 a couple of years back - seller was asking $5500 but it sold for less than asked, and several MT's complete & running but in rougher condition go in the $2000-3000 range. The M was a while back, so you might get more current info on JD forum as suggested.

Judi, sorry to here of the loss of your father. This site is for Oliver and Cockshutt tractors. There is a site on Yesterdays Tractors for John Deere, and I know that the John Deere boys slip over here to read about some good tractors. (Only kidding). I had an MT at one time, wish I had it back. You may want to try the John Deere site, or maybe someone will see this message and reply.
By the way, in my neck of the woods you do not see many MT's.
Hope this helps
Dave

Dave, sorry about that! thanks for the redirection, I realized now I was in the wrong forum. thanks for the kind words, it is very hard sifting through so many years of his "collection". Keep on in the good life!
