I'm wondering if anyone can confirm or deny a rumor I heard couple weeks back. A local guy suggested the North American Oliver summer show will be held at Forest Ontario this summer. this is only 15 miles from me thus I am interested. I can't seem to find anything online about this event. Would very much apreciate any information.

I'm also wondering if my source may be confusing Forest ON with Mt.Forest ON. I tend to believe the Forest idea first as the Western Ontario show has always been an Oliver hotbed in Ontario.

Yes the National Summer Show for the Hart-Parr Oliver Collectors Association will be held at Forest, Ontario Canada, hosted by the Western Ontario Steam Threshers Association. It will be August 16-19.

Oliver 66: Thank you for that information, I will be there with my Oliver hat on. Since I'm only 15 miles away, I expect I can forgo the suggested reservation item.

Being a Farmall guy my Oliver hat has annoyed many a Deere and IH fan. The hat, and there are two of them, was bought initially as a Deere friend told me I was not allowed in his shop unless I had a green hat. The very next week I went to the Western Ontario Steam Threshers show and bought my green hat. I have also been caught on photo, and had that placed on the Farmall page here at YT. Caused bit of a stir.

Now, the Oliver interest runs much deeper than that. When I was a mere 13 years old, my dad was buying a new tractor. He bought a new Farmall 300. He wouldn't listen to my advice that he should go down the street and buy the Oliver Super 77 diesel they had on the lot. I still think he was wrong
