Hi Gayle,

I have all the parts on stock that you will need to overhaul or rebuild your COCKSHUTT 30 engine. The sleeve and piston kits that I have are 3 9/16 compared to 3 7/16 standard bore. It will take the cubes from 153 to 164 and increase 6 horsepower.

You have a 4B153 if it is a gas engine. Be careful not to confuse it with the 4G153 which is the Aillis Chalmers version. Some things are the same and some things are different.

i believe Allis Chalmers purchased Buda and used the 4-153 engine in forklifts plus other applications as an industrial engine. parts should be available thru industrial equipment suppliers and some auto supply stores such as NAPA

It is a 4B-153 engine. You can get a kit from several sources. I just happen to have a Napa catalog in front of me. Sleeve and Piston set is a 226-1459. It will increase the bore 1/16. They also have bearings and gaskets. I suggest you wait will the bearings till you mike the crank. Valves are also lited. Me: I am not much of a kit man. Tear it down measure it all and then make decisions. Questions? J.
