There are two differnt styles of rear steel wheels for the Oliver Hart Parr 70 tractor. I have seen some with two tipy toe lugs and some with three lugs (that is the best I can explain it, oliver experts should know what I am talking about). I was told that the three lug kind was used for very soft soil. I was wondering which is more desired and valuable.

The three lug style you are talking about was available on any of the tractors that had the tip-toe steel wheels. The inside and outside lugs were the same as if you had the single wheel. The lugs on the inside of a three lug wheel have mounting holes on each side to attach the other ring (wheel). You are right in that they were used in soft ground, or if someone needed more traction.

As for as value, it's what ever a person wants.

I think that what you saw was 2 sets of tip-toe wheels together. That was a fairly common practice.
