The last pull I went to my 77 pulled 160ft and died like it run out of fuel. It did the same thing in the next weight class.
I had cleaned out the sediment bowl(not much there) and blew out the gas line.
I took the sediment bowl off yesterday and took the screen out at the top of the bowl. It was covered with a brown film. Scraped most of it off with my knife and am soaking it. I have it so most of it is clear.
My problem is that it is coming loose around the edges. Where can I find a replacement???? Do I need it???
So far I don't see anything on the internet. Looked at Agco parts etc.

Any Suggestions?????

Thanks - Ken 46

Thanks for the info guys - I appreciate it!!!!
I have ordered a new one - shipping is more than screen - also the wife used some kind of industrial cleaner and it looks like new - did not fix the edge that is coming loose - will run in tractor next tuesday in Ulysses Ks pull with it until new one arrives.

Thanks - Ken

For my 77 pulling tractor I took the sediment bowl out and found the right brass fitting to screw into the tank, and went with a rubber fuel line, and cut it and put a in line filter in and I have never have any trouble trying to keep fuel to the carb. It has worked for me. Good luck. -Dan

I AGREE IT MAY BE TIME TO CHANGE THE WHOLE BOWL, ALONG WITH THE SCREEN DETERIORATING, THIS MAY BE A SIGN THAT ITS TIME TO CHANGE THE WHOLE BOWL, ALSO WHAT I DID WITH MY 770 AND THE REST OF MY TRACTORS IS CUT THE LINE ABOUT 5 IN. FROM THE CARB AND ADD AN IN-LINE FUEL FILTER, PREFERABLE PLASTIC, THIS WILL ADD TO THE FILTERING PROCESS, ALSO CHECK YOUR POINTS, IT MAY FEEL LIKE FUEL BUT MAY BE IGNITION RELATED ALSO.

I had the same thing happen to my 77. After a few minutes of "red face". I went to my local NAPA and got the new screen. If i remember right, it cost like $1.

Call Farmersville Equipment 1-717-354-2150. Miller Equipment 1-610-845-2911. They are both old Oliver dealers & will have that screen.

i dont think you can replace that screen on most sediment bowls. might have to get a new one they arent to expensive usally i think around fifteen bucks. i wouldnt run it without it unless you like to clean dirt out of your carb and gas line.
