Hey, does anyone know how to adjust the steering on a 570 Super to tighten it up? I know these old girls didn't handle like ferrari's but there is quite a bit of back lash and it makes it want to wander on the road, not so good when you are hauling two large loads of round bales. Any info would be appreciated for sure. Thanks to all in advance

hey guys ya I guess I forgot to mention that my 570 Super has the "feather touch" power steering. I was under the impression that all of the "Super's" were equipped with power steering? thanks again guys

Without looking I would say the nut on the inside has come loose. Make sure you get the thrust bearings properly adjusted. The nut is staked into position and I helped an older gentleman down the road with a 570 Super repair the same proble. Order a new nut, you may need to get them form Phil. I have a dealer friend who also stocked them for an Oliver which is where I got mine. (same nut) He ran his too long and we had to replace the pump as well. Questions? J/

Depends where it is worn. If it is the steering box it should be adjustable. Consult service manual. if there are unused blot holes on the box, turning the arrangement one hole will adjust the steering gear mesh. Remember, that might not be your problem.
