Clear up the paint thing

I'am a long way away from being ready to start painting my newest project,a 88rc but I'am a little confused about some of the correct colors. The tin is a no brainer,Oliver green. The grill is white, right? Now where it gets a little cloudy is the rims,hubs or wheels!! I've seen them painted silver,red, black,white and so on.I havn't received my manuals yet but I'am not sure if it would mention paint colors anyway. Thanks for clearing this up for me. Mark
p.s. the paint on the tractors rims & wheels is almost faded and rusted away and whats left is a missed matched mess.

Mark your best bet is to get ahold of Lyle and Helen Dumont in Sigourney Iowa.He has the paint codes that have been elected as the right ones and he also carries decals.The phone is 515-622-2592 or fax 515-622-3925.Nothing looks worse than a non correct paint job glad you are tyring to get the correct setup.I also think you should join the hart-parr Oliver collectors Assn.For a little green($20)you could have good biased reading and alot of help in learning what a oliver is all about,plus parts ads.They have a half done web site where you could print out a form.

I just finished restoring a 49 model 77 RC. The paint codes I used I got off the internet and I assume they are right. Green was JX4033 and or Dupont Dulux 019. Yellow was for the grille and lettering on axles. I used Dupont Dulux 029 and or 90T-3752 or J5-8371. I used red on the wheels number 99L 3752 or J5-6748. I had the local parts store mix my paint using these paint codes. It turned out looking nice and hope yours does too.
