Oliver 1800 Steering Play

I have an Oliver 1800 that has excessive steering play. This particular steering unit is not in the service manual. From the discussions I've read it could be the Saginaw unit as 2 ports are located together and the other two in two different places (on the controller). It takes 1/4 turn of the wheel to get the gear to move so trips in road gear are starting to become an adventure. This is the style that is completely hydraulic, no mechanical linkage to the gear. The serial number of the tractor starts with 137. Not knowing much about this system and not having any spare steering parts (because up until now it has been very reliable) I thought I would ask if anyone has had similar experience with this unit or knowledge of anyone who rebuilds. I have noticed a slight amount of oil on the dash below the steering column and the tilt wheel has quite a bit of slop at the joint of the column to the controller.

Many Thanks,

Jack Ryan
