Out of those replies neither reply mentioned and you did not supply a serial number, BUT the very early 1800 tractors had a white seat, but too many complained they showed the dirt too much so the chang was made to black. J.

If I remember correctly I think the serial number of my 1800 is 128844...

That is a "B" series. The white seats were on the early A series tractors like all of 1960 and a few in 1961. There are pictures of them in the 1800 shop manual if you have one.

probably depends on the year and style of seat frame on it now. If it has the newer Bostrom that is on the 50-55 series, I'm thinking they should be white. My 63 1600 has the other style that the seat tilts forward to keep it dry, and the original was black- so I got black too, even though I knew it was gonna be awful hot on a warm summer day.

As far4 as where to get them, I got mine from AG Parts First- it's a really nice seat and with all the time in the elements as this one is, the vynil hasn't started to crack or show any signs of age yet. A seat on our 1755 for less than 6 months already had a rip in the replacement seat from the dealer...

My 1962 1800 series B still had the original seat until recently when I replaced it. It had an all black embossed bottom cushion and back rest. It is "hinged" along the front to flip forward if needed.

My wife bought me a seat from Ag parts First for Christmas. She didn't know the original style was embossed and got me the plain vinyl instead (they have both - about a $20 difference). The quality of the materials is pretty good. I had to reuse my backrest frame since she just bought the cushions. Since it fits multiple applications there is an extra bolt hole in the seat back. Other than having to remove a small amount of material from the hole in the backrest that surrounds the nutplate for the center top bolt so I could get the bolt to go "straight" into the nutplate and cleaning up the threads on another nutplate, installation was really easy.

I don't know who made the seat for them, but I'm happy enough with the product even after making the minor adjustments that I would buy one again.
