The book I used was the Oliver Data Book by Brian Rukes. I also have a 1947 Tractor Field Book. I beleave those wights are more reallistic.
I should have looked farther.

I have an 80 row crop on rubber 11X40 rears loaded with cast centers. It weights well over 6000lbs.

chparks, i am not familiar with the data book you are referring to, but I though the 3300 lbs. that you quoted was a little light, so I looked up the orginal advertising for the 70 row crop and the 80 row crop.

The 70 row crop weighs 3200 lbs. on steel and 3400 lbs. on rubber. The 80 row crop weighs 4545 lbs. on steel according to Oliver advertising brochures. This is shipping weight.

I then looked in the 1947 Tractor Field Book and they list the 70 row crop as 3200 lbs. on steel and 3300 lbs. on rubber. In the same book thay list the 80 row crop as weighing 4600 lbs. on steel and 4775 lbs. on rubber. This is also shipping weight.

Maybee there is a misprint in the book you quoted, or maybee my references are wrong.
