I had just bought a Oliver "60" tractor which had sat out in the rain and snow for approx: 6 months.I may need to replace a couple of cylinders in the engine. This is my first Oliver 4 cylinder engine.I don't know much about them. Here is my question. Is the Oliver/Waukesha engine in the model "60" the same as the ones in the model "66" , super "66" , and "660"? Are the parts interchangable? If not , where would be a good place to start looking for parts? Scott

Scott,

The engines are not the same. Check with the Tractor Supply Company for engine parts. Also a tactor junk yard in Willard, Ohio and the Andrew Goodman used tractor parts place in Lincoln NE.
I sold mine in 1990 to a man in Tennesse.
All the engine parts are replacable with the exception of the valve seats.

Your obedient servant,

Bill

The 60 engine is not the same as the 66, ect.
If you can find a running 66 or S66 engine you can just install it into your 60 and have a lot more power at less cost than it would take to rebuild your present engine.
Wish i had done that rather than set about rebuilding my 60 engine.

The oliver 60 and 66 are not the same. I have a 60 and a 66. The 66 engine is longer than the 60. You would have to make motor mounts for it, among other things.

I just wanted to thank you all for the information you had given me.It's nice to have a place like this to ask questions and opinions of people with tractor experience.
