Help repairing hydraulics

We are trying to service the family Oliver BD Crawler Tractor with a Wallace Universal Dozer Blade Serial 944 Date 1052. The packing needs to be replaced and I am having trouble cross-referencing it to anything available today. Don't really want to do a tear down and hope for the best at hydraulic repair shop. Can anyone help?

Annette,

I don't have any books on the wallace
blade. I have an ag-6 cletrac with a heil blade
and I have the book for a heil blade for a B
series cletrac. The cylinders for those blades
all used cheveron packing and so did almost
everything else in those days, and it is still
readily available today .

Thank you, that is a relief. Don't like walking into a repair and not have at least some background. Can't believe the Father-in-law didn't have the book for the blade, maybe never got one. I have the instruction manual, parts book, repair and maintenance manual, and lots and lots of notes.
