Loader for a 88rc

I'am in the process of fixing up a 88 with the idea of putting a loader on it to help move big round bales.Before I put alot of money in the tractor I probably ought to find out a few things.First,is the hydro. system strong enough to lift 1500lbs.Second, did Oliver make a loader for the 88 or any other manufactors? Does anybody know manufactors name and model # that would fit reasonable well? Thanks for any help you can give p.s. this is my first Oliver and there is alot about this tractor I don't know yet and probably won't have it running for a couple more weeks yet. Mark

When I was at home (some 30 years ago) we had an 88RC with a Stan-Hoist loader on it. It did pretty well, but the whole outfit would be marginal for what you want to do. The tractor will need rear wheel weights and fluid, the rear wheels would need spaced out as far as possible, and the narrow front end and hydraulics are iffy.

We kept breaking front wheels. If you have a good aftermarket wide front with different wheels it would be better.

A utility tractor with a 3-point hitch and rear bale spear would be a lot safer. Just my opinion.
