I'm thinking of putting a hydraulic control valve on my loader and wonder if the kind that raises the boom by pushing front and back and rolls the bucket by pushing from side to side is a good way to go? Will be mostly using it for moving large round bales with a bale spear and other farm chores with a material bucket.

It will need to be a closed center valve. I would also suggest not using an open center valve with a closed center conversion plug. Is the time coming when you want to add a third valve for a clamp? What about a float valve for those farm chores? Also if you ever move up to another generation newer tractor you may want to see if your valve can be set up for load sense. More questions? J.
