I am looking for seed plates for an Oliver 540 planter. Most urgently need bean plates. Are there any other model plates that will work?

I have some JD 24 cell corn plates, not sure without going and looking, but I think some BO7, BO8 not sure what else. I will give them to you if you pay for shipping.
I also have some International plates same vintage, I will make that same deal on.
Dave
PS all plastic

Do you need the Oliver metal plates or plastic John Deere type. If you need the metal ones I might be able to find some. We had two 4-row planters but they were taken to our junk pile years ago when we quit farming. We had several sets of corn plates and 2 sets of bean plates. Let me know if you need the metal type and I will try to find them. P.S. I will sell them real cheap if I can find them.

If you could take the time to look I would appreciate it Max. They are the metal ones. I have one set of corn plates, I will buy all the sets you can find. If you come up with some please send me an e-mail.

Thank you,

Toby

John Deere plates may or may not work. Depends on the drive that you have now.

Hi Don, Yes unfortunately I have the drive that will not work with Deere plates. I was told by a seed dealer friend that the drive I have is an older one.

Thank you for your reply,

Toby

P.S. I lurk around here quite often and enjoy your restoration and farm pictures.
