The front and rear share the same oil, on the front diff there is an scavage pump whichpumps oil from the front to the rear. All the oil that supplies the steering and other acessories return to the front but the main hydraulic pump is on the rear, thus the scavage pump on the front to return it to the rear.

Sounds more like his 3 speed powershift has a leaky rear seal and is possibly letting hydraulic oil into the rear end from there. I think they are good at doing that.

This model White has a system that intermixes the hydraulic oil from the front half and the back half. I don't remember the details, but he may have a pump out that pumps oil back up front.
May be someone else here knows the details of this system. Duane? John?
