will a 3pnt hitch fit on a 77 or could it be modified to fit? is it worth the trouble

Rob , If the 3 point hitch is a power traction 3 point hitch , you might have a little trouble when it comes to just bolting it on.Part of the power traction 3 point hitch bolts up under the tractor , just in front of the rear tires on the "770" and "880" model tractors.Oliver first put this extra mounting block for the power traction hitch on the 3 digit tractors.Your "77" does not have the extra mounting block.When you are looking at 3 point hitches , make sure you have the regular one , and not the power traction one.
