My turn. Looking for a couple pieces of information on the early Fleetline 77 & 88 Diesels. Need a Serial number and only those negines that have the "flat ' high pressure lines need answer for now. Thanks in advance. J.

John,

I know I'm violating your rules here but I thought you might find this interesting. Dad's second 88 diesel which he bought as a demonstrator in 1952 was actually older than the first one he bought new in 1950. He always referred to this one as a '49 model and he came to find out that Oliver used/wore it out on their experimental farm near Charles City during the first few years of it's life. If you remember the detailed story I wrote about it in the HPOCA magazine a couple years ago you know everything has been changed on it. We do have a rather ugly picture of it though that shows the flat stack injection lines on it before they were updated.

Thought you might like to know that.
