Thanks to all that helped. I pulled the timing gears off this evening and retimed the tractor and it fired right off. I do not believe the engine even turned over twice before it fired up. I believe that I did not have the timing gears tight enough on the tapered shaft. Some of the 1855's have a moon key on the shaft and some have a tapered shaft with a small roll pin in the shaft. Mine has the pin style and I could see where it had spun in the timing gear. It seems that my luck is either I tighten things to much or not enough. Anyway, thanks again to all that helped. This repair is in the books and sheet metal is back on. I hate though that I worked so hard to what could have been one extra turn of the wrench when originally putting the tractor back together. I will post a picture soon. Thanks again.
