Hello, I've noticed that the right rear wheel has been sticking just a little when the brakes are touched on my 1850. Today, it would lock the wheel and I would have to put it in reverse and back up to get it to unstick. So, I'm going to tear into it , but was wondering if any of you Oliver guys could give me a heads up on what to look for? Any of you all had this problem? Thanks in advance.

Scott

tear it down and use powered graphite on the balls- not grease or oil--they will get your discs wet. My 1650 was doing just that- flipped the discs and graphited the balls and we're off and running like new.

After you clean up the balls, make sure the springs aren't getting weak. They're pretty cheap to replace.

My 1850 was doing that on both sides last fall. There was an awful lot of brake dust in it,I think that was the main thing. The actuator in the center between the two discs has balls in between the plates. Pull that out and spray a little spray lube on them. Be sure to wipe off the excess. I put a little grease on my finger and wiped a thin layer on the cast "rails" that the actuator slides on. That should get you going.
