I was checking with Maibach Tractor about the Gemer unit in my '58 770 last Friday and was told to talk to Tom, who would be in Monday. Tom said send it in. Cost depends on how broke it is! (mine turns right fine, dosen't turn left too well) so the left side valve is probable out.
Said around the $300.00 mark for repair and reseal, again depending on the parts and time required.
I think it's great that they have "Tom" digging into these and helping us out. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Larry,

I can send you a Gemmer Manual.Your problem sounds like the seals on the rack and/or a broken shoulder bushing. I have parts on stock too.

Please let me know when I can assist you further.

I don't think that is your problem. How much play do you have in the shaft.

I have found Tom to be most helpful also. He is a great asset to their company.
