I"ll be scrapping one of those soon. It was always shedded before I bought it.

I know you're too far away from me for it to be practical, but would you consider selling it to a collector for whatever you would get out of it by scraping it. If it's always been shedded it sounds like it would be worth saving. I know there are many collectors from out east on here that could put the word out for you.

The Oliver 15 grain master combine was built from 1946 to 1954. In late 1950 they changed some features on the machines, so you can tell by looking at the combine if it was built before late 1950 or after.

Two of the biggest changes were: Up to and including the 1950 models the grain bin unloading auger was on the front side of the 24 bu. bin and if it was engine driven, it had a continental Y91 water cooled engine mounted behind the bin. If it was built after 1950 the grain bin had the unloading auger mounted behind the 20 bu. bin and if it was engine driven, the air cooled Wisconsin engine was mounted in front of the bin. There were other small changes in 1951, also.

Let me correct my original post. After looking at my Battle Creek production log it shows the 15 was built from 1946-1954. There were 30 machines built in 1942 which were most likely test machines. There were a total of 13,354 model 15s built.

Had me going there for a minute Sherry. I knew my uncle bought a new one after he bought his new 88. I didn't think it had set on the dealer lot that long. :)
