Bought a Oliver Super 77 at auction today, after researching on here after I am now questioning weather or not its a Super here is what the tractor is equiped with

Serial number under dash
Row Crop cast into to Axle housings
Mechanical Lift
Green and White paint (no red)
Wide Front
Live PTO
Engine side panels, (I read on hear that if it has the side panels its not a Super?)

any input would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Matt

By the picture on the auction site it looks like a 77 not a Super. Check the serial number to be sure. After this many years many different parts could have been put on the this tractor.

The 77 had 2 big holes on each side for cult. mounting pipes to go thru. The supers had these holes plus a flat spot around each big hole with 4 or 6 small (1/2 or 3/4") holes drilled and taped in the flats. In addition there would be a flat spot with small d.& t. holes but no big(About 2 or 21/2") in front by crank hole. Also I think under the tractor on each side of the seam where the tractor bolts together should be 2 more flats with small d.& t holes. Armand

All depends on the side panels or as they are called curtains. The 77s have full side covers and the Supers have open side curtains but they still have side curtains. Look in my web site and you will see a S88 which will have the same type of side curtains as a S77 would have. Most of the other things you talked about could be on either the 77 or the S77. Run the serial numbers is the best way to figure out which you have.
