Three point hitch has no lifting power. It will come up on its own only when engine is at full throttle, and even then you can stop it with your hand. We checked the pressure at the rear aux. lines and had 1600 lbs. of pressure mid throttle. All external bypass valves appear to be ok. Where do we go from here? If anyone has any ideas or knows someone who is familiar with this tractor please reply.

Chris has this one pegged,the old elbow was just a cast iron street L and they broke. If the relief valve fell off completely you may have to go fishing for it! Don't put a cast one back on,you'll only have to replace it again,get the new style. Good Luck!

As far as I know I think you should have around 2000lbs of pressure.Does the tractor steer allright?And do the hydraulics work the same as the 3-point?

My guess would be that the elbow for the relief valve has cracked or split. It comes out of the side of the lift cylinder and turns 90 degrees to facilitate the mounting of the relief valve.

If memeory serves, there was an update on the elbow and the relief valve because of this problem. With the valve broke off, the oil would squeeze out through this hole. That would explain it being able to lift it at full throttle due to the extra flow not being able to squeeze through the hole fast enough.

The three point hitch and hydraulic cover-assembly will need to be removed to fix this. You might be able to see if this is what happened by taking just the remote valve/cover under the seat off.Hope this helps.
