77 plow capacity

I was wondering if any one can tell me how many bottoms a 77 gas can pull?. This is a three point hitch plow.

Thank you all for the advice.I have located a White model 32 2-16"bottom 3 point plow that I am going to pursue.This is in excellent condition. Any thoughts on the value of this unit would be appreciated.Has 95% of original paint on it with no wear on plow parts to speak of.

I'm not sure on value but I'd guess somewhere in the 500 dollar range? Sounds like it would make a real nice plow for a Super55/550 so it should be in demand. I might be all wet on this but I'll bet that the line forms on the right if you decide to pass on it.

with over size pistons and fluid in the tires we usually pulled a 3-14 IH #8 plow in 3rd but it really grunted in some spots

Yep, those were the good ole days! We had a pair of #8 IHC plows (still have them). Behind the Super88 diesel that was a 4th gear job. Uncle pulled a 4-14 Case plow with this same tractor, but when dad got it in '64 he bought another 3 bottom for it. He liked to keep moving. I can remember riding with him in the 60's and it seemed like we were really flying! When we would tie into the clay on the hills, she'd just lean into it and not care! Before we overhauled it in '77 that tractor was making 58 HP on the dyno.

2 bottoms just about anywhere, 3 on lighter soils. Do you have the optional factory 3 pt " HYDRA HITCH" or aftermarket?

In most going it would handle 3 14s. Just depands on how heavy the ground,the hills etc. My uncle only pulled 2 16s trailer with his 88 diesel. He had some clay soils,some hills,just did a better job by not over loading it.
