I've got a problem with getting the cam gear and mag gear timed. I was just going to change the slotted mag drive and woodruff key in the shaft coming from the cam drive. Just being my luck everything came out the backside when I removed housing...Never had the mag drive gear come out backwards, but so be it, figured I would pull the front govenor houseing, bring engine up to top dead center(firing on #1) line up marks on govenor gear with mark on cam gear...No such luck, both gears have two marks, not sure which way they is suppose to line up.

Can someone clue me in to how these marks are suppose to line up ,,,either trailing or leading???...Thanks

Keith & Shawn

Isn't that engine made by Waukesha? Call one their dealers near you and see if they have a picture they can email you. Call 1-800-922-5632
if you don't have a dealer in your area. They are located here on the East coast so you can call them early. If there's any Waukesha numbers on that engine I would have them before I called.
Hal.
PS: All my manuals are for IH tractors. Our neighbors had Olivers and were a very good tractor.

Thanks Hal, I called Old today, info he gave me over the phone was a life saver. With that info and years of experience on the wrong end of a wrench, I have this old beast back together and running. Better than it has since I've owned it!!!

Simple 1 hour or so job turned into couple of day...Hmmmm

Gotter done!!
