Hello everyone. I just bought an oliver 1265 which I understand is actually a Fiat engine. The tractor is overall in good condition but it does have a hydraulic leak (somewhere) dealing with the 3 point hitch. When I have an implement attached to the 3 point, and if I lift that implement up off the ground, the implement will bounce up and down. The bouncing is not really severe at this point but my guess is that I have a hydraulic leak somewhere. If I leave the 3 point implement up and turn the tractor off, the implement will slowly fall to the ground. It takes about 30 seconds to a minute for the implement to be on the ground once I turn the tractor off. Does anyone have any idea where to look for leaks or how to get into an area on this tractor where I can check the valves, O rings, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THe first thing you want to check is the filter that is near the pump on the suction line. These tend to get gunked up fairly often. As for the implement falling. I would check your draft sensitivity. If that checks out. THen the problem is in your valve. Let me know, I can walk you through the valve as I have had ours apart many times and other peoples tractors as well... Marc

The filter is new, so I am assuming that is not the problem. As for air in the line or a leak, I am guessing that I need to replace a valve or an o ring. any help walking me through that would be greatly appreciated. I have also checked the sensitivity and that helps some but it still bounces.

I would still take the filter apart and clean it. I do it at least twice a year on ours. I am still thinking that you have a problem with the draft control. Do you have a service manual for it?? As for the implement falling, that is in the valve. Email me if you want.. Marc

Hank on here a minute. You may have two problems. One is the sensitivity adjustment of the valve and the other one is an internal leak most likely a worn seal on the 3 point lift piston. More questions? J.
