Hello...again! I stopped at Bodner Implement in Staunton, IL today on my way home from Mount Olive, IL. They had a BEAUTIFUL 4-270 sitting outside on their truck, ready to deliver tomorrow. I had ONE FRAME LEFT on my camera from the tractor pull last night in Du Quion! So...I got a good photo of it! It is serial number 302303-432. I understand they only built about 300 or so of these. When I worked at Lewiston Implement in Lewiston, MN eight years ago, I did some repairs on one. They are an amazing tractor! I wish that White could have continued developing the 4-by-4 Powershift, and put it into the 2-135/2-155/2-180. White seldom gets proper credit for how good their engineering was (is) and how GOOD a tractor they built! BA Star and others...my hat is off to you! A 4-270 is on my list of "cool rich-guy toys" to own someday! Ha! Have a safe and Blessed week!

Well I looked at it very quick like and will need to study it early some morning.I did find at least one mistake on the A4T models. FYI not every Oliver and or Moline dealer had a contract to sell them, but I need to read again but I was corrected once and probably rightfully so. There were no 2455 Olivers. We were and Oliver dealer and you sold A4T-1400's as the 585 had not been released for the larger model at that time. I probably have some literature around for them yet. Thanks for sharing that. J.

Always love the opening scene in AG-Phd on RFD-TV when they slide the shed doors open revealing that big 4-270, then you see it in the field.

How about posting the picture of the 4-270 in the tractor photos?

I will...when I get them developed. They are still in the camera. I haven't stepped-up to a digital camera yet: still in the "Dark-Room Ages" where we used film. I'll see what I can do!
