Needed to get a head gasket & lower radiator hose along with a few other parts for my 1960 560 Cockshutt. I tried e-mailing Phil, but my e-mail was returned undeliverable. Is he still the go to guy for these types of parts? Is there anywhere else that I can get them? Any help would be appreciated.

O. K. Let me varify one thing for sure. The tractor has the 270 direct injection engine and not the L-4 engine. If anyone tells you NAPA has the gasket, well they did actually I am the guy that said do not reorder. I got some from a Perkins dealer that we dealt with who also handled Perfect Circle Parts. But they ventured off into other business interestes. That application is the only North American application of either engine. If you call most Perkins dealers who have web sites they will ask you for a build number, which you will not have.I have a source but I can not talk to them till Tuesday or Wednesday. The L-4 was apopular conversion for other tractors in England. Get back with me maybe on the hpoca form. I kind of like the 560. J.

The tractor is a 1960 & I'm told that the engine is the 270 perkins. The #'s on the side of the block are:
C0280103
DA17411
When the engine is running it will push antifreeze out of the radiator, but it does not appear to be losing any antifreeze out of the exhaust. With the radiator cap off and the fuel shut off I can turn the motor over and the antifreeze will bubble up. This has led me to believe that the head gasket is bad, and I was wanting to have a new one handy before I tear the head off to see for sure what the problem is. Tried to find a gasket locally & just got a bunch of blank stares & head scratching. Got a parts list from Phil Heisey a couple of years ago and it stated that he sold the gaskets, along with a whole bunch of other Cockshutt parts, but was having trouble with emailing him my parts request.
