I have a friend that is restoring a 40,Cockshutt,like all of us he ordered the things he needed before he started on it.The decal kit has the model 40,but it is for the same side.Someone else that is helping him ordered it and cant remember from where.I looked the kit,and I cant imagine them sending out a kit like that,he has to hand cut these things out!NUTS!Anyway he has another problem,he wasnt aware of,there was a change in colors of paint and decals. Here is what I need to help him with, first is the serial # on the plate on the block?Or is it stamped into the casting of the clutch housing? Also where is a good place to get him good decals? Like to have this guy on my team, when he goes at a project he goes at it to GET HER DONE!! I'm more like Pa Kettle,"One of these Days!! Thank for your help!

Your serial number is stamped on top of the frame. All those numbers deal with the engine.
