I am wondering if the 2 holes on a narrow front pedestal at the bottom are for mounting mud scrapers like yo see on Farmalls so much. These are the 2 holes between the 2 hubs. I don't see anything in my parts manual for these to be used for. I am wondering if anyone knows. I have yet to see any Oliver use these points of attachment.

My dad had several 88s back in the fifties and sixties, They all had the scrapers on. The only problem with them is if you let mud freeze up in them. You'll break them off when you move the next morning. You probably have figured out how I know this. I now have an 880 that came with them on. I plan to put them back on when I finish restoring it. I have a Super 77 with the mud scrapers mounted in those holes. Agree with you, kinda rare to see them on an Oliver vs. pretty common on the farmalls and others.
