Just wondering what kind of hp I could expect out of a 310 diesel (lanova) out of a 1800 B series? Has anyone here modified one?

According to the 1963 Oliver full line catalog the "B" series 1800 is good for 80.46 HP on diesel and 83.5 HP on gasoline.

I would let right where it was if I was going to farm with it or turn it down to about 72-73 horsepower.

Depends on how much you mean by "modified" I have read on here that about 90-100 HP is all you want to go and keep it reliable. One well known person on here suggests to keep it about what it came out with, in the process of overhauling my B series and since it is not gonna be a main tractor and all we do is hay I am gonna leave it where it came out at, about 70-75 hp. If I need more than that I'll get a bigger tractor :)
