Hi:

Here is an overhead picture of the tractors in the Exhibit Hall at the Marriott in Coralville Iowa this past weekend. We hat around 50 tractors/implements on the floor and another 12 across the street in the Museum.

Thanks to your chapter for hosting the show, it was great. I didn't know there was more over in Museum, so I missed that. Still a good time. Chris

That was an excellent show, Marc. Top notch in every department. The only things that could have been improved on was the string beans and the coffee at the banquet. The ham was delicious!!!!

Dean:

Thanks for the nice comments. I agree those Green Beans could have been better. I can't speak to the coffee, I had Diet Dew and it always tastes good. If we ever have it there again we will try to fix these 2 things.

Larry:

All the tractors at the show were from Iowa except Duane Starr from Nebraska brought an Oliver Garden Tractor, that we had in the lobby going into the exhibit hall and the Central States guys brought up their Oliver Super 77 tractor that they are selling raffle tickets for. The drawing will be at the Secondary Summer Show in Ottawa Kansas in September. If we host this event again some day we plan to invite the chapters from the states that surround Iowa to each bring a few tractors.

Nope, wish it was though. Looks like a lot of good 4 digit tractors were there. That is a little far for me to pull a tractor, gotta get the shows closer to the right coast for me to haul there.

Hey Larry, I have finally gotten the 1850 steering torn down and am ordering parts this week for it. I will let you know how it works out. Thanks for all your help on that.

That little HG (or OC-3?) hi-crop crawler on the trailer is just as cute as a bug. Would like to have seen it in person, they're a rare bird. Looks like it was a good show.

Mike:

That was an OC-3 HiCrop and it is owned by Sparky Duroe of Jesup Iowa. It is believed that only 6 of these were made. Sparky has one of the best and most complete Cletrac/Oliver Crawler collections around. He has an OC-6 OC-4 and 2 OC-3 all of which are HiCrops among several other models. If you are ever out this way and he is in town I'm sure Sparky would show you his collection.
