I'll be starting to tear down my 107 rake soon to rebuild and restore. I have noticed the jacks on some of these old pieces resemble the jacks that came with passenger cars in the late 60s and 70s. Has anyone else seen this resemblence? Does anyone know if they are the same? I'm missing mine and would like to replace it to original to possible. If not it will get a new style jack. Anyone have any good tips on restoring this before I get started? I plan on dismantling the gearbox and replacing the U-joints as well as getting all new teeth so they are the same length. The rake may rake a couple acres after but will be for show only from there on out. Anyway, if anyone has anything on my questions that would be great.

The 207 you purchased wouldn't of been north of Waterloo would it maybe a couple of years ago? I'm glad to hear the bar bushings and such are available. The teath are identical to New Idea so that is what I've gotten so far. I bought enough to replace all the missing ones which was about half. I've got about 50 left to get. The problem is I've bought all from the local farm and fleet stores for 99 cents each and now they won't restock them. So, I probably will have to go to AGCO. My wife's uncle runs the AGCO dealership in Dyersville, IA so I know about going for AGCO parts for my other items. Thanks for the help.

Hi , I have a 207 rake and it's missing the jack also . I saw the jack laying next to it when I bought it but , like you you , I thought it was an old car jack so I left it there . So , yes , it does look like a car jack but it probably is shaped a little different up where it's mounted . I've been meaning to find a old car jack and make it work but haven't gotten to it yet . To many other more important things to do . I use high lift jack which by the way does NOT work very well . Sometimes I drag a small floor jack out to it which works much better . I only hitch and remove once a year from my Farmall and if I use the oliver I hitch it to the tph drawbar that can be lowered to the hitch and no jack needed , just can't turn as sharp in the field . But that way I can lift the rake over windrows without getting off and cranking it up . AGCO still carries the stock style teeth for that rake if you want it all original styled . The 107 uses spring teeth , the 207 has a choice so I've got rubber on mine . If you haven't priced the cost of bar bearings yet hold on to your shorts ! I've replaced two so far and have a couple or three more that might be ready for replacement . They are real easy to replace on the 207 I don't know about the 107 , might be the same , if they are make sure to buy the rubber bushing that holds it all tight , they don't cost that much . Good luck with your rake ! ...Randy
