Can anyone tell me anything about an aftermarket governor made by the Handy Gov. Co. Detroit, MI? Is there any type of advantage from this governor vs. stock like an M&W governor on an M farmall is supposed to have, or is it just a "will fit" replacement originally available at lower cost vs. genuine Oliver parts? Thanks
Mike

Oh boy are you refering to the Handy governor that one can find on some 18-27 (also 18-28) and 28-44 tractors) Those were made to convert the fixed speed governors to variable speed governors. If that is what you are NOT refering to I don't have a clue. I doubt if they are still in that type of governor business.

O. K. I can look but your BSA 250 number is an Oliver part number and is a replacement for the BS-250 governor. I will need to check but I don't think it is an aftermarket governor. Remember the engine was also made in Michigan.
