Ok I think I am going to put a Delco distributor on my 1655 from an 1800. I called the guy at Wisconsin Tractor. He said something with the tack drive. Where it was located. Will I be able to use the same tack cable I have? What other stuff can you think of that may give me problems. When I install it. I can get a new one for 135.00 without core.

I would try the Petronix electronic unit for the Holly Dist. It has a replacement for the worn nylon base that is the problem in most of those. I'ts been successful on both my 1500 and 1650...
