The only thing different about the Cockshutt and the Gambles Farmcrest is the stickers.. Anybody can get Farmcrest stickers and put them on a Cockshutt. It won't make it anymore valuable.

Were they identified any different on the serial tag? I saw one at a show in Blufton a few years ago with a cultivator all painted up on an old restored truck. The whole unit was pretty impressive.

Looks like nobody else is going to answer you so I'll throw in my two cents worth. The Gambles Farm Crest was the same as the Cockshutt 30 and Co-op E3 but would have been the rarest of the 3,so yes,if I was a Cockshutt collector I would think the rarest would be the most valuable.

Well the Cockshutt 30, Gambles 30, C.C.I.L. E3 and COOP E3 are the same exact tractor. No difference was made in serial numbers, they could have come off production line one after the other with different decals and paint. You can restore to your pleasure, decals for each are availible. So I would not think one would be more valuable than the other as you can suit youself when restoring (buy a Cockshutt restore as a COOP E3).
. Just my thoughts.

But what name is on the tag? For instance, the Oliver built Cockshutts are taged as Cockshutts, not as Olivers. I don't think it even mentions that the Oliver builts were built by Oliver anywhere on the tractor does it? Just curious, don't know.

On a tractor like a 30 they would have had Cockshutt decals, or on the E3 it would have had COOP decals. They did not have a "tag" just serial numbers and decals.
As for tractors like a 1600 (Oliver made) I am not sure about a tag, but the ones I have seen before any resporing, just scrap some paint and you can find Oliver Green under most of it.

OK I like to learn. Now another thing that I can't remember about the 30s,did they have an embossed stripe down the grille that said either Cockshutt or Co-op? There were more Co-ops here in Michigan than Cockshutts. It's just slipping my mind whether or not they had that grille strip.
