Greetings:

I am helping a friend of mine sell some tractor parts from his store that he is closing for good.

He has given me a box of Oliver parts that he would like to liquidate at prices below what he paid for them wholesale. Included in the box are oil and fuel filters, carb kits, condensors, point sets, ignition kits and rotors.

If anyone here is interested in these parts, please let me know and I will list them by part number and can even take some digital photos for you. Just let me know.

Thanks.

Harold,
Marion is my great uncle. He lives west of Brummett's Creek on Hash Road. His number is 812-332-0190. He has farmed with Oliver tractors since his Dad had a 77 I believe. His grandson still sprays with his 1755. I thought he or his grandson may be interested in some of your parts. He is a great person and will enjoy talking with you I'm sure. Let me know how it works out.

Kirk

Hi Kirk:

I called your great uncle Marion today and we had a wonderful chat on the phone. It turns out that we think we may be related through the Young blood line that traces back to Michigan from the Mayflower. Amazing!!

I look forward to driving over to his place (maybe tomorrow) and taking a look at his antique tractors.

Thanks so much for introducing us to each other.

Happy New Year

Harold

Harold. I'm over by Spencer. I'll bet those parts came from Gifford's or if later, Conder's Farm Store over in Elletsville. I remember going with Dad to Gifford's when I was wee lad, and later he sent me to Conder's to deal with mean old Dorothy at the parts counter. Well, if you weren't a farmer back then, you probably wouldn't appreciate the terror I felt at that assignment. Anyway, please post a list of what your friend has and I'm sure one of us will help him with it. Thanks. Jim.

Actually, none of these names rings a bell with me. The parts are from a used truck and implement dealership in Bloomington. He used to sell old tractors (I purchased a Ford 2000 from him a few years ago), but he now sells other vehicles, so he no longer needs to stock tractor parts.

I"ll post a list of the items later today.

Thanks for you interest.

Harold

No I don't know this person, but it's interesting that you ask for a couple of reasons:
First, I live just a mile from Brummett's Creek Rd.

and Second, my great grandmother's name was Young.

Therefore, I would like to meet this person, for sure.

Could you please relay some contact information, like his phone number? Or, let him know how to contact me? 812-330-1550

Thanks very much for your response to my posting.

Harold
