Mr Schwiebert,

I've been meaning to send you a pair of tubes that connect the rockshaft housing and switchpack housing on the Oliver 4-digit series. I haven't forgotten, just had a case of "out of sight, out of mind". In cleaning the shop this past weekend I came across them and it's about time for me to pull my rockshaft housing off to take another attempt at fixing the 3-point on my 1800B.

To date, I replaced the oring on the lift cylinder piston when I had it apart to swap rockshaft castings (My original casting was damaged where the rear left remote screwed in and leaked fluid, the 3 point was not working and missing all the external items when I purchased the tractor). After I assembled everything and the 3 point didn't work I swapped servo control valves. I have yet to check out the relief valve or elbow on the unit thats in the tractor as you suggested. I do have a complete lift cylinder for the 3 point including the relief valve that just needs cleaned up sitting on the shop floor.

I'm thinking about swapping this one in if I have to pull the whole thing (rockshaft housing) off to change out the relief valve. I'm hoping to get the relief valve swapped by just taking off the switchpack. I can't recall if that's hidden under the corner of the housing though.

Is there anything I should do with my spare cylinder other than swapping in the "new" lift piston O-ring and cleaning the relief valve?

I still have your address, although I don't think they'll make it to you by christmas.

Hey good timing! I will work on that for you the first full week of 2007. In the meantime don't remove that housing till you call me. Merry Christmas. J.
