HEllo I've got a 66 that smokes oout the exhaust pipe when warm. eventually it fouls plugs. It runs very good until warm and fouls plugs. I guess I'm looking at oil rings or intake valve seals. Whats the best set to take. take the head off and check it out first and if I find anything fix it and try or just put a set of rings it and valve seals put it back together and try it?? thanks happy holidays

Check your plugs to what type of fouling you have.

May just need a grade hotter plug or the mixture weakening a bit?

Try a compression test first before tearing into a good motor?

Should be able to replace valve stem seals without removing the head?

Check to see which cylinders are giving trouble first?

What is the color of the smoke? Blue or black? Blue is oil. Black is too much gas. Does it use much oil?
