I think I found a pump, thanks guys... Ok here is the looonnnngggg story of my pumps.. Mike, The earlier 55 series tractors, 1855, 1755, G-1355, G-955, etc.. had either a belt driven hydraulic circulator pump or a gear driven pump that moved the hydraulic oil from the main pump to the oil cooler and back to the holding tank. These tractors all had the normal hydraulic pump under your left foot like yours, but have to have another pump to move the oil, a closed center hydraulic system does not flow oil normally and has to have a means to move oil to the cooler. The later tractors (like yours??) have a G-roter pump that is located in behind the main pump to move the oil. It is small enough you dont even know it is there until you take the main pump off and normally works very well, but is not easily adaptable to a tractor without this pump, the inside gears are backwards (ask me how I know...) Soooo, I have a G-1355 with an internal engine oil pump that I am changing to an external engine oil pump because my block got trashed and I am using a 2-150 block, and the internal pumps are not very reliable on this engine. The external engine oil pump goes on the left side of the engine in the back of the front cover at the front. Guess what?? My gear drive hydraulic oil circulator pump sits there. Not a problem, MM made a retro fit for this with a service bulliton in 1977 or so. Simple fix, get a "piggy back" engine oil pump that will allow the hydraulic pump to mount to the back of the engine oil pump with an adapter and a coupler. Big problem, they didnt make many of those, and they are not an AgCo part number any longer. Good news, Evertte Brothers just happen to have one laying around, at least the pump part. Now I just need to find a coupler or try to make one. Whew, I shoulda put a Cummins in this tractor after all.... :-) It will be a mean looking and running tractor when it gets done, it has just been a long process with this big engine. I think I got in over my head with this one, but it will be almost all new when finished and is still cheaper than a new 180HP tractor. That is what I keep telling myself anyway :-(
