A good friend is bring his little Oliver dozer (OC3)? over this week for me to look at. He had the engine rebuilt and now it doesn"t have any oil pressure. Is there something simple I should be looking for? A keyway or whatever. Just thought I"d ask the experts before I dive in. Might save me a lot of trouble. Thanks, Dan

Figured it out! in reply to Dan J, 12-11-2006 09:56:38
Pulled the pan tonight and the oil pump is toast. Looks like it had water in the oil and It was started when the water was frozen. Anyone have a good used oil pump for an HG? Thanks for all the help. Dan

I would take a look at some of the bearings to make sure they were not damaged. Hal

Picked up the Oliver crawler tonight, It's an HG42. Engine was rebuilt by NAPA with the parts coming from Zimmerman's. It ran ok for a couple hours and then lost it's oil pressure. I will get into it tomorrow. Guess I'll start with the oil pressure guage and work my way backwards. I'll let you know what I find. Dan

Got a good used oil pump and gaskets from Mr. Zimmerman in PA. Installed the pump and now have 35 - 40# pressure, runs great. Thanks, Dan

I would check that oil pump to make sure it isn't bypassing the oil for some reason. The pump housing may be worn or the gears. Hal
