Happy Thanksgiving all !

I got to work on the disc this week and realized I should really look things over better before I buy . I got the leveling crank on the drawbar fixed and as I was putting it back on today I noticed that the drawbar was crooked in relation to the mainframe . It turns out that the hanger on the right side is bent forward , the frame measures out straight though . Whoever bent it just welded it to the frame . So now I'm in the process of removing the drawbar hangers to replace or rework them so the drawbar is square with the rest of the frame . It should be easy enough to get a heavy wall tube and cut it in half and bore some holes in it or have them bored . Basically just a U - shaped hanger made of 1/2" wall square tube cut in half . I don't know if I'm going to have to go through all that trouble yet because I might be able to just turn them around and mix and match the bends till it get's sraighter . But once again if anyone has a junk white or oliver 263 laying in the grove I could use some parts :) Thanks . Take care ...Randy

Hello Randy- been awhile since I have heard from you on here. I only have a minute, but heres a few thoughts- I saw an Oliver disc sitting on the Pine Island, MN consignment lot- auction starts tomorrow morning at 9, and I do know of an extremely nice 253- I think, in a guys shed for sale....used to work with the son-in-law of the guy--he's selling off his stuff to settle his estate. Very nice piece. I gotta run, have a good one! and also let me know if that stacker is needed or not too!

Hello Mr. Meyer ! I had things to look after for the last month or so . Things are slowing down some now . And the weather has been so nice I took some small breaks from cutting down trees and started fixing the disc for next spring ( I got that crank fixed if you didn't see that post ) . I had today off so I took the drawbar tongue off it which only took an hour or so of grinding to cut through the weld on the hangers to the main frame which wasn't supposed to be there . I straightened out the 1-1/4" pin and just took the hangers to the local welding shop . They can bend up new ones out of bar stock cheaper than I could buy the tubing .

Thanks for the heads up on those two disc's but I'm going to pass on 'em .

My wife is going to visit her family ( Her dad's going to be 80 next thursday ) in Cleveland , OH for all of next week so I'm going to be busy again doing all the chores plus working a short 45 hour week . 12 dogs including 1 blind one and one deaf one , about 20 cats and kittens , 1 blind 'possum and 5 horses . That should keep me out of trouble ! And off the computer !

About that stacker , if you have another buyer go ahead and sell it otherwise I'd like to have it but it's not up there on the priority list . Probably won't be till well into the new year . I'm still looking for a suitcase for you too . Obviously since you haven't heard from me I haven't found one . Come to think of it I got a new phone number and lost yours in the other phone . If you still have my number call it and leave a clear message and I'll get back to you since I still have that numbers voice mail available . Take care ...Randy
