To me the answer to the first question is yes and no. There were two designs and it involves a little on how they oil. Shortly after the diesel engines were introduced the later design was used and it was used to the end of the production for those engines. Both designs were used on gas and diesel engines at the time they were used. The old design has a short tube from the rear head bolt to the rocker shaft. The later design has the fitting in the center of the rocker arm shaft. Never measured the lift. You can calculate that your self. Measure the lift at the adjusting screw and measure the lift at the valve end and get you pencil and paper out unless you can do it in your head. More questions? J/
