Anyone have an idea how many of the Oliver 2655 tractors were made with the 800 HD LP (Minneapolis-Moline)engines?

I would say more w/ HD800 than w/ 504 Lp. I heard when the White 4-150 was coming out, dealers ask for more MM/Oliver so they built an additional 500 with the HD800.

Are you real real sure on that? I can remember 2 things about those HD 800's in a tractor. One was you could special order the HD 800. 2 Was a bulletin that if you had one advise the customer to keep it out of second gear(I think it was second). We were lucky never sold one. J.

Second is about the only gear you can use. There is a sticker in the cab that says only use 1st for pto or low draft jobs. All the higher gears are way too fast to use.
